Feist dog Wally's dog lifestyle includes Jeep car rides and dog exercise

Dog Lifestyle, Exercise, Training & Travel

Besides raw dog food, I love writing about dog lifestyle topics like exercise and travel, and also dog training!

As a former professional dog walker, I’m a big believer in making the right dog lifestyle choices, including breed-specific, daily exercise.

Because I’ve seen first hand what under-exercised dogs are capable of.

I’m talking breaking out of dog crates while injuring their mouths, digging under their yard fence, and ruining furniture.

So, to me it’s a no-brainer that out dog lifestyle choices include burning our pups’ physical energy.

Especially that of high energy dogs like hunting dogs including bird dogs, and herding breeds.

But beyond that, dog exercise including mental stimulation is also a great opportunity to strengthen the bond between yourself and your pup.

So whenever possible, I’ve taken and continue to take my dogs along on trips, both throughout the US as well as through Europe because it broadens both of our horizons.

Now, below you’ll find a collection of blog posts about a variety of dog lifestyle topics such as exercise, travel and training blog posts.

I recommend you bookmark this page and revisit it as it continues to grow.

Dog Lifestyle: Exercise

I can’t recommend daily, breed-specific exercise enough because dogs need an appropriate outlet for their energy.

If they don’t get it, they’ll find ways to entertain themselves.

And that usually includes eating your furniture, digging holes in the yard, ruining your garden or excessive barking that wakes up your baby.

So here’s where you’ll find a variety of dog exercise ideas for your pups (and also for yourself).

Also, whether or not you should exercise your dog after eating.

And for those days when you’re not feeling well, lazy ways to exercise your dog.
