Dr. Harvey's Healing Cream for Dogs: Miracle Cream in a Jar

Dr. Harvey’s Healing Cream For Dogs: Miracle Cream In A Jar!

Dr. Harvey’s healing cream for dogs should belong in everyone’s pet first aid kit! That’s my personal, humble opinion after witnessing the cream’s healing power.

Who Is Dr. Harvey’s?

But first things first, who is Dr. Harvey’s? They’re a brand who make high quality, safe and natural products for companion animals, including dogs, cats, horses, and birds.

I began my raw feeding journey with their dehydrated, grain-free dog food pre-mix Veg-to-Bowl, which makes the switch from kibble to raw super easy. I highly recommend it! But today, I’d like to talk to you about Dr. Harvey’s Healing Cream.

First Aid In A Jar

Dr. Harvey’s Healing Cream for dogs is also known as “Miracle Cream” because of how fast & effectively it works!

It’s completely non-toxic and won’t harm your pets if they accidentally lick it. Of course that’s exactly what my boy Buzz did after I applied some of the cream to his tummy, by the way!

Here’s what happened to Buzz’s tummy: He misjudged the height of a wall while jumping after his ball, and scratched it with his belly. Ouch.

This happened exactly one day after I received Dr. Harvey’s healing cream, so even though none of us were particularly excited about Buzz’s accident, at least the timing to try the new cream was spot-on.

I applied a few layers of the cream after I washed out & cleaned his wounds.

I then reapplied the cream twice per day for 4 days, and noticed remarkable results. The angry red coloring of his underside that you can see in the first picture was already gone by the next morning!

Dr. Harvey’s Healing Cream for Dogs Is Now An Integral Part Of My Dog First Aid Kit

Dr. Harvey’s Healing Cream is now an integral part of my doggie first aid kit. I’m beyond pleased with its healing abilities, and the pups give it 8 enthusiastic high paws!

I now also bring it along on our hikes and backpack walks. Of course the hope is that I won’t have to use it, but you never know what can happen, and it’s great to be prepared just in case!

Just recently, I applied some of Dr. Harvey’s Organic Healing Cream on a sore spot of one of my pet sitting client dogs’ back. He felt immediate relief & my client excitedly ordered a jar of the Healing Cream…and a few other goodies!

I Use Dr. Harvey’s Healing Cream On Myself, Too!

Sssh, don’t tell the pups that I use their stuff, but I actually do, ha!

I have a love-hate relationship with fire ants because I’m outside so much. That said, they bite me on a regular basis, and when they do, I use Dr. Harvey’s healing cream in combination with ice wraps.

I’ll first put an ice wrap on my leg or foot, depending on where I got bitten. Then I dry the area off and apply some of the cream. It helps so well!!

Yes, our big boy can get a little ball-crazy from time to time..wall or no wall in between him & the ball didn’t matter.
The cream was a welcome first-aid assistant 🙂

I’ve heard mixed things about tea tree oil on dogs so I try to avoid it. Especially because Mr. N likes to lick at his itches/wounds etc. It seems to have worked for Buzz though!

I hadn’t heard of potential adverse effects of tea tree oil on dogs until you mentioned it ~ I just sent an email to Wendy Shankin-Cohen, President of Dr. Harvey’s, and shared your concern! As soon as I hear back from her, I will let you know! Thank you for your input!

      1. K9sOverCoffee Avatar

Wendy replied to my email & answered your question ~ she said that there is very little tea tree oil in the Healing Cream, just enough to be effective, but that it will not harm any animal when licked.

She also said that Dr. Harvey’s has been making the cream for over 30 years, and that they have never had any problems with it ~ they even use it on their Sphynx cats, and cats are more easily affected by herbs than dogs are. (Check out their cats on Dr. Harvey’s Instagram profile, they’re adorable!).

Wow, it looks like a great addition to our First Aid kit. I’m wondering how a Yorkie’s sensitive skin will handle it? I’ll keep you posted…

Please do! It’s worked great on my client’s sensitive Bichon skin 🙂
