First things first, this Raw Feeding Miami review is about my personal experience of buying cuts of raw meat and grinds from them since 2016.
I began feeding my 2 Boxer mixes Missy & Buzz raw dog food in 2015 after Missy was diagnosed with cancer at only 3 years of age. That said, I’ve ordered raw dog food from Raw Feeding Miami since October 2016.

To be exact, at the time of writing this review in February 2020, I’ve placed 16 orders with them. The total cost for all 16 has been $2,257.29 with an average of $141 per order.
In 2019, I also switched my new dog Wally, a Feist mix, from kibble to raw dog food, including cuts of meat from Raw Feeding Miami.

That said, I’ve also sourced cuts of raw meat from local grocery stores, farms, and two other online raw dog food retailers since I started feeding raw in 2015.
However, Raw Feeding Miami is by far my favorite raw dog food retailer for sourcing individual cuts of meat!

Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored blog post as I have purchased all Raw Feeding Miami orders with my own money.

How expensive is RFM’s raw dog food?
In my opinion, Raw Feeding Miami’s food selection is quite affordable, with prices per lb of meat ranging from $2.30 (chicken) to $10 (ground elk), depending on the protein source.
I picked some of my favorite cuts of meat and list their price below:
Ground beef green tripe: $8 for 2.5 lbs of product
Duck necks: $8.85 for 2.5 lbs of product
Turkey hearts: $7.00 for 2.5 lbs of product
To get a better idea of the total cost, I’ll talk about shipping next.
Raw Feeding Miami Review: Shipping
Raw Feeding Miami ships their raw dog food nationwide here in the US in insulated cardboard boxes that are carried by FedEx. They add dry ice and ice packs to every shipment.
Minimum Order
Their minimum order is 5 lbs for frozen goods. Every box has a limit of 55 lbs of frozen food, meaning orders over 55 lbs automatically get split up into multiple boxes.
The different shipping speeds offered are:
- Ground
- 2 Day Air
- 3 Day Air
I personally have always had my raw dog food shipped Ground, as it only takes 2 days to get here (I’m in NC).
However, during the hot spring and summer months, RFM suggests to ship orders to the West Coast using the faster air transit to avoid the food from spoiling.
Their treats are mailed out with USPS.
7 Day Turnaround
FYI: It takes Raw Feeding Miami a week to ship out orders from the day they are placed, so that’s something to keep in mind.
Their order/shipping turnaround is definitely not an immediate one.
Shipping Cost
Let’s start with the best option, free shipping. That’s only available for pickups from their warehouse, so it’s really only an option for locals or if you happen to pass through Miami, FL.
RFM’s address is:
18350 NE 2nd Ave.
Miami FL 33179
The actual shipping rates depend on the speed of shipping you select and the distance at which you live from RFM.
My location in NC translates into a shipping rate of about $35 and takes 2 days with Ground shipping.
Raw Feeding Miami Review: Discounts for Repeat Customers
Raw Feeding Miami offers discounts for repeat customers!
Obviously, I really appreciate this feature. With every order I place, I collect rewards points that are worth real money and that I can put towards a future order during checkout.
Below’s an example of a $10 discount from my rewards points.
Actual raw dog food orders I have placed with RFM
I truly love RFM’s selection of raw meat and have bought various cuts of meat from the three main categories muscle meat, secreting organs, and raw meaty bones.
What I’ve bought mostly are secreting organs and raw meaty bones. That’s because secreting organs other than chicken and beef liver are hard to find in my area.
Also because I want to offer my dogs a variety of raw meaty bones, not just turkey necks and chicken leg quarters I can find at the grocery store.

I also appreciate RFM’s fish selection, especially now that I found out that my current dog Wally can no longer have salmon and sardines, both of which I was able to source locally.
They carry the following fish:
- Mackerel
- Thread Herring (whole & ground)
- Smelts
- Salmon Chunks
- Green Lipped Mussels (raw & dehydrated)

Have I had any bad experiences with orders from RFM since 2016?
I haven’t had a single bad experience with RFM since I started placing raw dog food orders with them in 2016.
There was one time where I received ground green tripe instead of the green tripe chunks I had ordered, but whatever, no big deal in my opinion.
A FedEx driver once dropped my delivery off at a neighbor’s whose elderly mother took the box in, not realizing it wasn’t for them.
I contacted RFM’s customer support and received immediate feedback. They began talking to FedEx and FedEx promptly contacted me. Wonderful customer service!
