Start Nurturing Your Furry Loved Ones From The Inside Out

Hi, I’m Your Host Barbara! 👩‍💻

Barbara Rivers is the raw dog food blogger behind K9sOverCoffee

It’s nice to e-meet you!

I’m the crazy dog mom who found out about raw dog food back in 2015.

Ever since, I’ve been documenting my raw dog food journey here on the blog, paired with my second passion of doggie exercise & travel.

The raw dog food part included trial and error in:

  • Figuring out dog allergies
  • Learning how to make my own raw meals to keep them affordable
  • Becoming raw dog food nutrition certified by Dogs Naturally Magazine
Barbara Rivers of K9sOverCoffee.com received the Raw Dog Food Nutrition Specialist Badge from Dogs Naturally Magazine

With that said, my Boxer mixes Missy & Buzz introduced me to raw dog food.

If it wasn’t for them and specifically for Missy’s cancer diagnosis back in 2014, I’m not sure I would have made the switch from kibble to raw.

As one of my lovely readers recently put it:

“God bless Missy so much, our teacher, she got this journey rolling, we thank her.”

How Do You Learn As Much As Possible About Raw Feeding?

Join the K9sOverCoffee newsletter

You’ve probably heard that raw dog food is a powerful tool that can drastically improve your dog’s health and cut your vet bills in half.

And that’s true.

I mean, dogs are born with sharp teeth and acidic stomach juices for a reason:

To eat and digest raw meat.

Including pliable bones.

Not dry pieces of boring, baked dog food.

Sounds like a pretty straight-forward concept, right?

But raw feeding involves a bit more than just tossing your dog a steak and some liver.

So I went ahead and created my free newsletter where I share all things raw dog food related in bite-sized, weekly pieces.

Plus, grab my FREE raw dog food feeding chart (from one of my ebooks) as you sign up for my weekly newsletter! This will help you understand how much homemade raw dog food to feed your dog every day.

This will also help keep your dog at their current weight if they’re neither over- nor underweight.

On the flip side, you’ll know how much to feed your overweight dog to loose weight, and how much to feed your underweight dog to gain weight.

Now, as a newsletter reader, that means you get to peek into my dog food bowls for raw dog food recipe inspiration, learn about ingredient rotation, and pick up helpful tips & hacks on your journey to nourishing your pup from the inside out.

You also get personal access to my raw dog food brain with any questions that keep you up at night…

…and yea, I know, I should probably start charging for that service at some point.

Coming Soon: DIY Raw Dog Food Video Course

Open laptop with homemade raw dog food meals on the screen

I’m currently creating this course to help you make and feed your own raw dog food from start to finish, step by step by step.

This course is for you if…

…you’re tired of seeing your dog be miserable on kibble.

…you’re currently feeding your dog home cooked meals or premade raw dog food.

…you’re tired of dishing out tons of money for “prescription foods” and ointments from the vet that are expensive and don’t help.

…you can’t (continue to) afford expensive, pre-made raw dog food.

…you want to figure out which foods your dog doesn’t do well with.

…you’re inspired by homemade raw dog food bowls you’ve seen online.

…you learn better by seeing things demonstrated on video as opposed to reading instructions in an (e-)book or in blog posts.

This course is NOT for you if…

You’re grossed out by raw cuts of meat like organs and bones because you WILL be handling them.

You like the convenience of buying pre-made, commercial raw dog food. There’s nothing wrong with this, but please understand that making your own raw dog food requires some planning and time.
