We were lucky enough to win a pair of PULLER rings by COLLAR Pet Products earlier this year, as well as to review a set of their wonderful soft leather collars & leashes we have been using on a very regular basis! We were curious about their new product, the LIKER Cord & LIKER Ball, and are excited to announce that they met our high expectations!
Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post ~ K9sOverCoffee received 1 LIKER Cord & 1 LIKER Ball from COLLAR Company in return for an honest review. COLLAR Company is not responsible for the content of this blog post.
About COLLAR
COLLAR is a Ukrainian based wholesale company who has been making quality pet products since 1995. Their pet products are sold in 40 countries on all continents.
Great for Exercise & Dog Training
As hinted at in today’s blog post title, the LIKER balls are so much more than just an average ball. They are a fantastic means of shaking things up a bit!
The first usage that comes to mind with these balls is certainly to use them for a good game of fetch – which we definitely did as our boy Buzz is a huge fan of playing fetch, and he had a blast with both LIKER balls!
Side Note: What’s surprising is that even our girl Missy was intrigued by the orange new balls…she’s usually not that interested in toys (unless they are small and fast moving!), but jumped in several times to play tug-of-war with her big brother using the LIKER Cord!
Now here’s the fun part ~ I was also able to incorporate the LIKER String ball into our trick training! Buzz recently learned a new trick which involves opening the fridge.
I had tied a long rope toy to the fridge door which Buzz pulled on in order to open it. In much the same manner, the LIKER String ball was tied to the fridge door and Buzz pulled on it with the same enthusiasm he had shown for pulling on the long rope toy!
A variation of this could certainly be to tie the String ball to your patio or balcony door (after having unlocked and opened it just a tiny bit) and have your pup pull on it while walking backwards or sideways in order to fully open it.
Orange for High Visibility
When designing the outer appearance of the LIKER balls, COLLAR went with stylish AND practical orange ~ have you ever had a hard time finding a blue or green ball in your yard or a park? You won’t have any trouble finding this bright orange ball, guaranteed!
Lightweight, Floaty, Harmless
The LIKER Ball as well as the smaller LIKER String version are surprisingly light – meaning they won’t accidentally brake windows or knock over any other object…a good feature to have when you’re not the greatest thrower of balls…such as myself 😉
With winter being just around the corner here in our Northern Hemisphere, they also won’t sink into a pile of snow ~ they are simply too light for that scenario.
Since they also float on water, they are the perfect toy to take along on any excursion involving swim time ~ we’ll take ours next time we book an indoor swimming session at RiverBark Pet Retreat.
One of my favorite features are the harmless materials both balls are made of – rubber – plastic – nylon – cotton.
Downsides
There’s really but one issue I can think of with the LIKER Balls: They are only available in medium and large sizes (to my knowledge). Although they are also portrayed next to a Yorkshire Terrier on Pinterest (click for picture), I’m not sure that this particular (or any) toy breed would be able to carry the ball around in her mouth.
Bottom Line
Overall Missy & Buzz give their new LIKER Balls 8 enthusiastic paws up ~ any toy that can get Missy’s attention is a winner in our book!
Have you heard of COLLAR and their LIKER & PULLER toys? As always, we’d love to hear from you in our comment section!

Bailie would probably like these toys. I’ve never had an interest in any toys but stuffies. Katie is too old these days for toys. Love it works with your refrigerator training!
Yes, as soon as I saw the cord I knew I had to try incorporating it into the fridge door opening 😉
…the pups no longer get any stuffies because their lifespan tends to be very short… 😉
I am always looking for new toys for Cocoa and have never heard of this company before. I will be looking into them. I am always on the lookout for fun new toys!!
So I am! I first heard about COLLAR on MyDogLikes’ blog about the PULLERs. We were one of the lucky winners of their giveaway 🙂
Fab! My dogs would love this!
The balls are definitely a fun addition to our toy collection!
These are interesting! That was a fun idea to use the toy cords to learn to open the fridge door.
Thanks, Tiffany – they’re a nice interactive means of making (trick) training more interesting!
Thanks for the review – neither Jack or Maggie are big players, but I”ll sure keep this in mind.
Glad you liked it, Kate 🙂
Your Buzz is like a combination of our Cricket and Luke. Cricket will play fetch endlessly, and Luke loves learning tricks. We are always looking for new toys that will stand up to Luke and Sheba’s obsessive chewing, and that will also hold Cricket’s attention for fetch (she’s picky about what balls she’ll play with). These look like fun toys that might be a hit around here.
HA, Buzz is just like Cricket as far as what balls he’ll play fetch with are concerned. Actually, I believe we turned him into a K9 ball snob of sorts…when we used to live at an apartment complex in Northern Virginia, our daily walks would bring us past several tennis courts where we would always find abandoned tennis balls that had been hit outside of the courts…meaning they were fair game and Buzz would always pick one up and carry it all the way home.
Back then, we never bought any ball toys for the pups because of our free “supply” of tennis balls, but once we moved to NC and I started blogging, we bought dog ball toys here and there, and Buzz lost any and all interest in playing with the tennis balls! Now his favorite balls are the chuck-it balls AND as of late these LIKER balls!
Cricket’s favorite, and pretty much one-and-only balls, are the West Paw Design Zogoflex Jive balls. We try others now and then but she always comes back to those. They last forever, but we still get her a new one every Christmas. 🙂
Isn’t it funny how all pups have their very own favorite toys? I just looked up the Zogoflex Jive balls – they look fun & pretty durable!
…I am ALL for Christmas traditions…especially when they involve new stuff for the pups!!
That door trick is great! I think you’re right. I don’t think Mr. N could comfortably fit that ball in his mouth. Although he does always manage to steals Sage’s toys somehow…
Thank you, Mr. N! I wonder if the cotton filling might make it a little easier for smaller breeds to carry the balls? I think I will have to give it a try.
looks like they are having a great time with the ball.
Yes, ma’am 🙂 The LIKER is being liked (may sound cheesy but true!).
oooh, I liker the string ball!
Isn’t it neat?!
